Friday 23rd October saw me attend the pop-up gallery at Carnival House, Southwick in Sunderland and what a fantastic event. It featured a whole host of local artists from puppet makers to photographers and the quality of works on show was high. In preparation for the event I have to say that I did neglect my studies a little, but in all honesty it was well worth it as it gave me the push I needed to bring together many elements of my current practice. You might not think it, but all around us are things that we could consider to be artworks. Things which at first might not be considered so. But have a think about it - when you use your soup spoon or walk over a bridge, you are employing those items to perform their function and complete a task and quite often they have the added benefit of giving a pleasurable experience. Not only do they perform well, but more often than not they are aesthetically pleasing in their form.

You managed to reach my new website so well done and thank you. You will find recent projects and older works here which have informed my current practice and will influence my future work. I will be adding the function to purchase prints from a carefully curated selection in the coming weeks but for now I just wanted to let you know i'm here.
