Same Ingredients, Different Cake

Being a creative, I'm always looking for different ways to use what I have at my disposal and come up with new output. And this series of images is a perfect example.

As part of a still life project, I used the same ingredients of light, shadow, time and a slinky, to produce four very different images.

Where the ingredients of flour, butter, sugar and eggs could be used by a cook to make a sponge cake, the same ingredients employed by a pastry chef, with a little bit of thought, can be used to produce many different sweet treats.

The main ingredient though, and the one which you won’t find on the recipe list, is without doubt, creativity. And it is this creativity, coupled with inquisitiveness and the ability to ignore the fear of failure, which make interesting results for those who are willing to go out on a limb.
