THERE GO THE MILLERS!
There Go the Millers! is a mixed-media project all about family life. It explores some of the challenges which many families may face over time and questions the stereotype of “The perfect Family”.
Some of this work is an alternative family portrait looking at my own family, and some of it crosses the generations bringing the past and the present together. It looks at the short and longer-term impacts of change within the family unit through the use of photography, moving image, text, and printed media.
My intention for this work is that the audience can see not only my family’s journey of ups and downs but also encourage them to reflect on experiences of their own.
